You nailed it! I have a LOT of Capricorn energy (including my Sun, north node, and midheaven) and also never resonated with the CEO descriptions. I’ve come to embrace the Capricorn archetype as more of a tree planter & cultivator of things that may take a long time to bear fruit, but they’re willing to devote themselves to the process & eventually reap a rich harvest that is self-sustaining 🌿 love the dark forest vibes

Wow, that's one of the most beautiful metaphors about Capricorn that I've ever heard — thank you for sharing this with me, I'll remember it forever. Capricorn really does have the staying power to quietly work away at something important, even if the harvest is years and years down the road. What a superpower we have. ;)

Awe, I’m so happy to hear that! Thanks for reminding me it’s a superpower. It’s too easy to wish things would happen faster sometimes 😅 But I do believe the world needs to remember nature’s pace & we’re a part of that medicine 🌿✨

Hi Breanna, I just want to say how much I love your newsletters . I’m an artist who wants to study to be an astrologer and I find the way that you explore both disciplines together so insightful and inspiring .

I really needed to hear that, thank you Katy! It's felt really scary to take a decade old business and pivot in this way. It feels like starting over, even though I know that I'm not. Happy to hear you're looking to study astrology yourself! It took me a bit to find the right school after lots of self study, but I'm so happy on this path. :)

Looooove this moodboad. I’m a Taurus sun, though I have Saturn, Neptune, and Uranus is Capricorn in the 6th house.

Thank you! I want to live in this moodboard, ha. And yes, with that triple Cap (so many late 80's / early 90's babies have that signature!) added to your Taurus sun, plus a heavy 6th house (affiliated with Virgo), that's a lot of earthy energy. What's your rising and moon?

Soooo much earth energy! 🌎

My moon is in Gemini and I’m a Leo rising!

I'm a Leo rising too. :) Leo and Gemini definitely add a little more fun / pop to the earth energy!

Yes, for sure! I typically love to keep things cozy and tidy, but with a small splash of something unexpected (or even imperfect). Not too much! But just a touch of wonky.

Love this! I've got 5 planets in Capricorn, including my Moon & Venus. I couldn't be further from the CEO career archetype. Yet, I do believe that us Capricorn placements are ready to build something of meaning and maybe we just needed for Saturn to do its full round and for Pluto having made his whole way through the sign. Now, we're ready!!

I have 5 too! "Build something of meaning" is exactly the point, money or not, career or not. AND OH BOY YES PLUTO. I'm a 29 degree Cap, so it *just* moved over my Sun the last time and will be out of orb soon. Look out, world, powerful Capricorns coming your way. ;)

Oh man yes, I had Pluto move over my Moon at 26 degrees a little while back and it was intense but in hindsight exactly the transformation I needed!? 😅 how did/ does Pluto over your Sun feel?

I've heard the moon transit is tough as well, it would be so interesting to compare. My moon is in Cancer, so Pluto opposed it awhile back, but I wasn't into astrology yet and had no idea.

Pluto crossing over the Sun feels like darkness. If the Sun is your core essence, and Pluto is deep transformative powers, it feels a bit like rebirthing ... everything? Like everything that wasn't in alignment had to go and everything under the surface had to come up and be faced head on and I'm definitely not the same person anymore. I'm in more of a last dance / exhale period with it, but hope to write about it sometime when the dust settles a bit more!

This moodboard feels so much like home to me! I have about 7 Cap placements including my sun. To me the images all evoke feelings of being grounded, warm, deep, soft, and a certain kind of assuredness. Hats off to you! And happy cappy season ✨

Oh man, you beat my 5 caps with your 7, ha. Still a lot either way. I love the word "assuredness" for Capricorn — this sense of steadiness and focus and integrity in the important things we're working towards. :)

TBH, I don't know if I have a lot of Capricorn elements...I'm an Aries, but I do know that I love this moodboard and your wonderful words...thank you for sharing.

Thank you. :) If you're every curious about what other placements you have, you can plug in your birth date, time, and location at https://astro-charts.com/tools/new/birth-chart. For brand aesthetics, I typically look at a client's sun, moon, rising, and midheaven to create a fuller picture. You very well could have Capricorn placements or even more earth signs in general!

I’m a Capricorn sun and Leo rising too! I assumed the CEO narrative for a long time even though it makes me 🤢 — it’s just not me. But the aspect I do love about being a Cap sun is seeing/wanting something and making it happen.

I used to go out of my way to find quotes about Capricorn that weren't all business related AND IT WAS HARD. Those "all business / CEO" labels are everywhere. Like you said, though, the ability to set our sights on something and make it happen is amazing. Even though it doesn't seem like a "cool" resource to have, I'm thankful for my self-discipline and super focus. :)
